Japan supports the private investment of $20 billion in Africa over three years

The Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7) was held on 28th August in Yokohama, and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced that Japan will promote the private investment of $20 billion over three years.

He also showed the idea of supporting 3,000 leaders who are responsible for business promotion between Japan and Africa.

Additionally, Abe also touched on a Japanese government program to support African countries in the field of health care. It is clear now that Japan places more importance on business investments rather than aid for economic development the government has provided in the past.
