Egyptian dating startup Harmonica acquired by Match Group

Egyptian dating startup Harmonica announced that they were acquired by US based Tinder parent company Match Group.

 

Harmonica was founded by Sameh Saleh (CEO), Tamer Saleh, Shaymaa Ali and Aly Khaled in 2017. Currently, Harmonica is operating in serve 33 predominantly Muslim countries in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

 

Match Group is operating one of the most popular dating app “Tinder” and is expanding globally. This acquisition effectively makes its first office in the Middle East and North Africa region.

 

CEO Sameh Saleh still remains as CEO and 12 of its employees join Match Group. The acquisition price is not published yet, further deal details will be revealed on 26th August at the press conference.
