SweepSouth, SA’s on-demand home cleaning SU now opening up the opportunities from electricians to carpet cleaners

SweepSouth on-demand home cleaning startup will launch a new platform called “SweepSouth Connect” to opening-up the opportunities for other jobs from electricians to carpet cleaners. The new platform is being tested now and is poised to go live.

 

Same as Uber, Airbnb successful business model, SweepSouth also applies gig economy business model. Providing a direct payment system between worker and requester client, and rate each other.

 

The company was founded by Aisha Pandor (CEO) and her husband Alen Ribic in 2014, and now operating in 7 cities in South Africa, provided over 15,000 job opportunities in 5 years.

 

SweepSouth also just raised $3.95M from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and cash from existing investors Smollan, Vumela, CRE VC and Black Coffee. This investment will assist them to expand more in South Africa.
